 Why This Matters

Final builder's cleanup is the difference between done and move-in ready.

New construction in the Triangle leaves behind more than scraps. Red clay bakes onto concrete. Drywall dust cakes onto stucco and brick. Mortar splatter hardens on pavers. Paint overspray settles on glass and siding. A punch-list cleanup with a hose won't touch it — and the wrong pressure will permanently damage new finishes. Green Eagle Pressure Washing LLC is the post-construction partner that gets it off without damaging what's under it.

 Our Process

A methodical post-construction cleanup — no surprises for the GC.

We coordinate directly with builders, GCs, and property managers. Walk the site with us or send photos — we'll quote, schedule within the week, and document each surface cleaned.

1. Walkthrough & Scope

We identify every surface that needs attention, flag anything delicate (new stucco, pre-finished wood, low-E glass), and lock a timeline.

2. Right PSI, Right Chemistry

Surface cleaners at 3,500 PSI for hardscape. Soft-wash (under 500 PSI) with detergents for stucco, siding, and stone. Never one-size-fits-all.

3. Protect & Execute

New landscaping, light fixtures, HVAC units, and exposed wiring get covered before we touch a trigger. Waste water is controlled — never a muddy mess for the next crew.

4. Concrete & Hardscape

Red clay, mortar, and thinset come off. Surface cleaners leave zero stripe marks. Pavers are rinsed and polymeric sand is respected.

5. Vertical Surfaces

Stucco, brick, fiber cement, vinyl, Hardie, LP SmartSide — each handled at its own safe pressure with the right detergent so no finish is etched, streaked, or waterlogged.

6. Final Walk & Photos

We document before/after for your files and the homeowner. Any callback within 7 days is free.

 Knowledge Center

What every builder in North Carolina should know before final wash.

Practical info from actual jobsites across Raleigh, Cary, Apex, and Clayton. Written by the Green Eagle crew.

Why North Carolina red clay is the hardest post-construction stain to beat

Iron oxide in red Piedmont soil doesn't just rinse off concrete — it chemically bonds with cement paste during drying cycles. We cover why a hot-water surface cleaner plus the right pre-treatment is the only thing that actually lifts it.

Using the right pressure on new stucco, Hardie, and brick

New stucco cured under 60 days is vulnerable. Fiber cement siding (Hardie) has a factory-primed face that 3,000+ PSI will erode in seconds. This is how we match pressure and flow to each substrate without a single streak.

Removing paint overspray from glass, gutters, and siding safely

Razor-blading glass is faster but scratches low-E coatings. We walk through the chemical-first method we use that dissolves latex and oil-based overspray with zero mechanical abrasion.

Inside this article →

Getting mortar splatter off brick and stone without etching the face

Muriatic acid eats mortar — and the calcium in limestone, brick face, and concrete under it. We explain the buffered acid blend + neutralizer workflow we use instead.

Why drywall dust re-sticks to stucco in humid Triangle weather

Joint compound dust is gypsum — it rehydrates. Without a surfactant-forward pre-soak it smears instead of rinsing. Here's the two-step prep we use on every new-build exterior.

Managing runoff on a jobsite so you don't fail a final inspection

NPDES runoff rules still apply to the final cleanup. Our rigs recover detergent-heavy water so the rinse staying on your site stays clean.

 Post-Construction FAQ

Questions builders and homeowners ask us first.

How soon after construction can you clean the property?

As soon as the last trade is out. We prefer to be the final vendor before the final walkthrough so nothing re-dirties the surfaces. We can schedule within the same week in most cases.

Will pressure washing damage new stucco or fresh paint?

Not the way we do it. New stucco under 60 days and freshly painted surfaces get the soft-wash treatment — under 500 PSI with a detergent-forward mix that lifts construction debris without eroding the finish. High pressure only goes to hardscape surfaces built to take it.

Can you remove red clay off the new driveway and sidewalks?

Yes. Red clay is our daily reality in the Triangle. We use a surface cleaner running at 3,500+ PSI with heated water and an iron-remover pre-treatment. It pulls the red out of concrete instead of just smearing it.

Do you handle commercial post-construction too?

Restaurants, multi-family, office, retail, and industrial. We've cleaned up behind GCs across Wake, Johnston, and Durham counties. Certificate of insurance is available on request.

What does post-construction cleanup cost?

It scales with square footage and complexity. A single-family new build usually lands between $600 and $1,800 depending on hardscape, siding type, and whether we're doing windows. For commercial projects we walk the site and quote in writing within 24 hours.

Do you work with general contractors directly?

Yes — we prefer it. We'll invoice the GC on net-30 terms and coordinate with your superintendent. We document every surface cleaned with before/after photos so it closes cleanly on the punch list.

What areas do you serve?

Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Garner, Clayton, Wake Forest, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Knightdale, Morrisville, and the rest of the Triangle. Call us and we'll tell you if we've run a job on your street before.
